The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act or JOBS Act, is a law intended to encourage funding of United States small businesses by easing various securities regulations. It passed with bipartisan support, and was signed into law by President Barack Obama on April 5, 2012. Crowdfunding will enable new ventures and small business start-ups to present their companies and ideas to individuals on the web.  Individuals may choose to invest in these ventures as little as $1.00.  Companies will be able to raise up to $1 Million dollars without the need for SEC registration.
